The Accuracy stuff looks really weird though.

I figured out:
The number provided when clicking on the detailed overview for your accuracy-rating is the maximum amount of points assigned to the map. This number seems to cap at 795 for OD10.
There is some sort of weightage for the scores as my final points are lower than my best result(I know it cause SS).
A maximum of 100 maps is shown in the detailed overview.
OD has a heavy influence on Accuracy points(Up to ~20% increase) while vision-impairing mods (HDFL) both don't.
Qualified maps aren't included in the search.
Actual pattern difficulty isn't as important for the assigned number compared to OD:
OD -- maximum number assigned
OD10 795
OD9.8 750(?)
OD8.4 720(?)
OD8 712(?)
OD7 685(?)

Actual pattern difficulty doesn't even matter(X-Encounter is confirmed to be sub-770).

Can we get formal definitions on what these mean?



I can't make out anything of how these are calculated when I have the same scores for each attribute.

While this isn't supposed to be based on PP I'd like to point out that pp is far more accurate than looking at a select top map rankings (because not everyone has top map rankings, and certain maps are far harder to get top rankings than others just by popularity rather than actual difficulty).

Based on what I wrote in my earlier post I suggest the following:
Right now it looks like you're checking OD first and rhythmical complexity after(if at all). Worst case would be if you just check amount of circles vs. amount of sliders.
In my opinion you should try and figure out some difficulty for rhythmic patterns and factor in speed and OD based on how difficult the pattern actually is.
This would fix the issue of rhythmically very easy maps with high OD(esp Easy and Normaldiffs with DTHR) being overweight in of accuracy while it would push actually difficult maps up as the OD would be worth more.

This should try to include spacing and speed somehow, as Aozora+HR is pretty easy to aim compared to stuff like Saika. As the "ability to hit small circles" is related to Agility there should be some noticeable influence.

It needs to be able to count more than that. I have plenty of scores that would have given more than 200 precision (thanks +HR), but they don't count because they fall outside my top 100 plays, hence my low precision rating. If there was a way for osu!Skills to take into every single recorded score, the program would be absolutely perfect.

Kinda, kinda not. Tenacity is the ability to maintain rhythm in a stream, and the 2 factors are time between notes and the length of the stream. This is not to be confused with stamina however. You can still have high tenacity for a very, very long, low bpm stream.

So far that skills I came up for mania with are:

• Stamina - Dependent on max number of notes on some colum at a certain time. If one column has a bunch of 1/8ths and others don't, then it's high stamina.
  
  Dexterity - Finger Independence. Dependent on number of keys and may be nerfed depending how the hold notes are arranged. Not sure about DP keymode though (10k+). If there is a better word for this, please tell.

For precision it doesn't look into replay data, so it's impossible to figure that out right now. If you need to be pixel perfect to catch the fruits, then that would require high precision. Agility can also be put into precision since it's like a stat in this case. If your agility is low, then your precision will be low since you can't move to the fruit in time to be precise.

CtB has no accuracy, it's only precision (elaborate on this if you think I'm wrong).

Hidden performance deals with AR and time you have to react. Unless Kert decides to separate reaction based reading from density based reading, I'll consider them as one.

Hmmm ... bursts is not the best example you could give, but I see what you mean. Bursts look more closely related to reading. I choke on some bursts more due to the inability to read them rather than not being able to press fast enough. And if I am able to read them, it's more closely related to accuracy and even possibly to stamina if there was a stamina heavy part just before that.

If I was to isolate this, it would be something along the line of hitting a single 1/16 jack. In this case only frequency matters and not time, whereas stamina is dependent on the frequency and time it lasts. A map that has 1/16 jacks on 2 columns repeating every 1/2 is not likely to be picked up by stamina, but would be picked up by speed. This map would be an excellent example. Correct me if I misunderstood.

Also there is another skill or a factor for other skills I am trying to figure out, but can't really form a solid idea of. An example would be a jack in midst of a bunch of chords like the 1/4 pairs here, transitioning from pattern to pattern such as from 1|4, 2|3, 1|4 pattern to 1|2, 3|4, 1|2 pattern. Anything that would generally break the flow would be an example. I would throw those under reaction based reading or speed, but I'm getting a feeling that's not the full story.


EDIT: I spent about 5 hours or so mining out awesome plays (and rediscovering old ones) using osu!Skills. Some of these are just too shocking to believe.

I think i have figured out about precision.

While i say that precision is about how stable the fruit catches, it might seem refer to how stable when facing some hypers. (The key for Precision is Stability and Agility is Timing)

By checking the Error and Unstable rate, Precision should be figured out. However i'm thinking that Error itself should be counted as agility. the range is from minus to plus milliseconds value. the closer to 0ms the value is, the better.

and the lower the unstable rate, the better the precision will get

If precision is related to agility, then Error and Unstable rate will count (But i'm not sure about this yet)

Sorry if you think it's ambiguous, but i still need help ;w;

For mania:
While most people can't play 7k very well and can play 4k very well, they should be separated for various keys. While various keycount maps like 8k is ranked, it's possible to separate them

I found small problem with tag "Precision". I am owner of 99% acc FC of Irreversible CS7 maps but there are not taken into consideration in your script (point wise). If you ask me:



1. Spica is extremly easy to play with HDHRDT if you are used to OD9 (it's OD10 tho but there is nothing particulary hard in this map in matter of patterns)
2. https://osu-ppy-sh.jeuxcrack.net/b/253595 - can you explain how it's counted?
3. https://osu-ppy-sh.jeuxcrack.net/b/297350 is almost full long slider based map, i dont find it fitting into precision category.

When i find time, i will make more research and maybe play highly pointed maps again to find if they -- in my personal opinion -- fits categories.

Yet, thanks guys for this site, as someone who mainly focus on aim and acc, it showed good score: Aim > Precision > Acc.

It seems as though once your profile is generated, it doesn't get updated. I generated my profile this morning, and got a new score some hours later that overrides one of my top 100 scores, yet it still uses the old score even now.

are you sure Accuracy is correctly ing for od11? I don't think Rafis' pressure score is less accurate than some of his ar11 scores...

btw, I love the precision stat. it tends to show cool scores on old maps

My guess is your score didn't reach top100 in the map and your top PP. There is no good way to retrieve all scores currently

For example, I have more than 3300 ranked scores on my , and I know that I am able to retrieve all of the scores (replays are another matter) just by reing the maps that I have scores on. Since those scores are even saved in the first place, it follows that they all must be retrievable from some database somewhere.

is there a way to catch all scores submitted from someone who already created a profile on the site? ie, if i already looked up myself on osuskill, you could create a bot to monitor me and all the scores i submit, might require the bot to have a few things though. namely 1. adding everyone who creates a profile (maybe ask peppy to increase the limit on the bots ? no clue if he'd do it) 2. have every map so you can check friend rankings? (does friend rankings go past top 50? idk tbh lol)

I am not sure what you're trying to say
In your case you'd get a title for having Accuracy as your main speciality
But titles are not implemented yet

I can't understand tenacity though, judging by (the first on) my list it seems like spaced long streams give tenacity. Is the spacing really considered? Maybe acc, considering that it is a od9 map. Also, how do you separate singletap/slow streams? I know that I play some patterns alternating even though most singletap players would simply singletap through it so I'm curious.

no no I meant od11 (od10+dt), which is pretty common in ar11 plays. I think accuracy should scale a little more exponentially towards od11, cause pressure is "only" OD10.3, and getting 98.5 or higher on a OD11 map is more impressive accuracy-wise

as someone said earlier, the site doesnt seem to update scores, i just redid one of my scores (which is my top for accuracy) and it still shows my old acc

The tenacity calculations seem a bit off. I understand some, like chase the light and mendes. But why are arc and try this two of my top tenacity scores? Is it because of the stacked 1/2 beats which calculate as extremely slow streams? Is it because the slow counts in try this are recorded as streams?

It's really nice to see with all these different categories what your strenghts are and it's way more comparable than your rank.

I took a quick look at how this works. This is really useful in telling your progress in comparison to your friends, rather than using listed scores, or rank as a way to decide who's better. It makes the game a bit more competitive, I like this idea. Keep up the great work.

IIRC on the osu!tp site you could look up a beatmap with a certain mod combination and it would tell you the difficulty in of each stat. If you're already calculating all of this information, I think that would be a useful feature for the site. And maybe even be able to look up maps in your range, like be able to search for a list of maps with a stamina rating between [X] and [Y]. Awesome project!

this is great! one very big improvement would be an individual leader board/ranking for each stat similar to old osutp where players competed in aim/speed/acc points.

Great idea, but I found a bug. I don't know if this has anything to do with the beta version,
but my scores don't update, and I still have my old scores of when I first checked my profile on osu!skills.

no no I meant od11 (od10+dt), which is pretty common in ar11 plays. I think accuracy should scale a little more exponentially towards od11, cause pressure is "only" OD10.3, and getting 98.5 or higher on a OD11 map is more impressive accuracy-wise

OD11 is properly ed for, in my opinion. Keep in mind that Pressure is a OD10.3 almost SS. That's definitely a better accuracy score than a low 98% on OD11.

Recently checked it out, it's really nice!

Here's something to add, I personally think you should add multiple modes (e.g taiko, osu!mania, ctb).

Compared to std players, some of them don't play std often/not at all, and usually play the other modes.

It would be nice if you could add more modes! I don't play std often and I'm already good enough in Taiko!

The tenacity calculations seem a bit off. I understand some, like chase the light and mendes. But why are arc and try this two of my top tenacity scores? Is it because of the stacked 1/2 beats which calculate as extremely slow streams? Is it because the slow counts in try this are recorded as streams?

Tenacity for Arc is high for that one long stream (spaced one)
As for Xilver and HappyStick scores - Xilver has less combo. HR doesn't affect tenacity

I think I found a bug in my information because my highest score for precision is a 21pp play on Kana Ueda - Pumpkin Ondo. It also shows up under tenacity but isn't there in any of the other categories.
Not that I'm contesting the scores that the map gives but that a 21pp play is nowhere near my top100 as my 100th score is around 120pp.

Its a great concept, but like pp relies on prior plays.
My Tenacity is rated 420, but I think thats only going on outdated info.
I don't know how good 420 is, but I know there's no way I could hit that today.

Pretty cool system though, useful.

- Added Top 100 scores and Top PP scores autoupdates.
Global updates happen weekly and scores from Top PP lists update twice a day (at max)
- You can also see how much you've improved since your previous osu!Skills update
- Added flags, an osu!Skills site logo, loading animations
- Added Recently checked section
- Added short skill descriptions to some pages
- Fixed some calculator bugs
- Fixed problems for names with spaces

If anything looks broken try clearing cache and/or refreshing the page with Ctrl-F5

Before this forum gets flooded by bug reports the following is known:

• Long bars (900+) go to the next line in VS
  There are visible bullets in the recently checked section
  Last 's avatar gets cut off in the recently checked section if there is a VS search in the list

EDIT: All seems fixed

Have you tried refreshing the page? (ctrl-f5)

I think the calculation is a bit wrong (especially with Tenacity) but I like the idea, nice work !
