Nice update again !
The new limit is rank 50, but you will see pretty much all ranks with the mods you have selected anyway with unified.Xplayer1 wrote: 4t131n
1. More top overall scores: Maybe not back to 400, but 40 would be nice.
That's actually a pretty good suggestion.Xplayer1 wrote: 4t131n
2. An option to put your local scores at the top. Having to scroll down to them all the time is a little annoying.
you've hit ctrl-tab somehow and activated live-mapping mode, hit it again to disable xc overrideMashley wrote: 134c1t
z and c keys are placing notes since the latest update for me, which is very frustrating when trying to map and using keyboard shortcuts.
So, because i'm not er, ranking is blue ? That idiot.Takeda Shingen wrote: y3m70

Right, here +91 is the difference with Lance's score, and the +427 023 the difference with my best score

edit: no, you're right. this is my bad. i've got lua on the brain and completely fucked up the condition for check livemapping status. i'llpush a fix right away.have peppy fix my hrorible code and already have a public build up with the fix before i even noticed.
The difference in points between 2 people is cool, you just don't use itXPJ38 wrote: 364g3l
Well, I think this is the first time I dislike a new update. I was quite attached to the seperation online/local and the top 400. Now I find everything cluttered by too much information.
For example, I find the difference in points between 2 people pretty useless. What is interesting to know in osu! is the absolute score you have to get to someone, not the score difference.
Moreover, those duplicated entries in the ranking make me puzzled. I mean, no need to show the same piece of information three times, right?
...Or maybe this is a bug?![]()
Please play offline. This will cause online ranking to be hidden.Airaplenane wrote: 71102s

I don't like this update because I don't want to see the online rankings all the time, I just want to see my local scores, nothing else ._.
lol, yup, i saw this too. will you move it away and separate it somehow (you can click a toggle to show where your local scores go in between others), or will you like colorcode it off or something? I'm interested in this developing scenario.peppy wrote: 6w4l42
I can definitely see an issue with local scores when they are actually high enough to be in the middle of the online scores. I will look at improving this scenario.
I find scrolling immensely difficult when using tablet.peppy wrote: 6w4l42
As long as it is being limited to ~50 items, I am not splitting it out into multiple options, sorry. Looking to keep things simple when it comes to the interface, because i'd like to increase vertical space in the near future. Scrolling ain't that hard.

make 3 box that we can tick it
[ ]Top 400
[ ]Friends
[ ]Local
that will looks much more better
The point is not everyone is going to understand it. Limit it to 50 if you have to. It would be less confusing and be a normal leaderboard system that everyone would understand. Just throwing it out there.peppy wrote: 6w4l42

I just want to view the rankings of my friends. I don't want to search for my friends that are scattered amongst a bunch of other scores i don't care about.peppy wrote: 6w4l42
I am considering everyone's opinions here.
I'd like to have a possibility to compare my old scores to my new ones, tho, to see whether I improved or whether I'm still as shitty as ever, so I wouldn't like to have local scores removed from scoreboards.mochi wrote: 3u3l

If you're gonna keep the unified list, don't even bother putting in our local scores in it too. Because sometimes i clear a single map like 20 times ok? I don't need to see my name 20 times in a already cluttered list.
I don't think your innovation should remove old functionality, though. I liked being able to look through local scores separately and also seeing out to rank 400~ or so to check for certain mods on some maps. Also, it shouldn't default to unified ranking after each play - it should save your preferred settings.peppy wrote: 6w4l42
By definition innovation cannot be useless, but I'm sorry you feel this way. Hopefully next update will have a more useful innovation for you. I think this one will be useful to the majority of the community, though.

If anything, the unified ranking increases complexity in my opinion. It doesn't make a lot of sense to have four different sets of scores mashed together. You're usually only interested in one of the sets at a time. Since the sets overlap on the scoreboard, you'll have to gather the information you're looking for yourselves.peppy wrote: 6w4l42

You're obviously new here. This is how I've developed osu! for the last 6 years and I don't intend on changing that. The fact that bugs are fixed within hours if not days should be enough to counter any negatives brought on by this rapid release cycle.Silynn wrote: 6f6f3u
Also, you're doing the same thing you did with the last update - forcing a large change (full of bugs) with very minimal testing on the entire playerbase.

If you would like to help with testing, you can the few people on the test server that tend to help me test. Anyone is welcome to help.
Don't you think that there is a possibility that a hand full of people cannot find every single Bug and that the Community which doesn't use the Test Build would be a good way to find them?Silynn wrote: 6f6f3u

Pretty much this. The general community may moan and complain, but bugs get fixed and features get tweaked so much faster when everyone is pitching in (intentionally or not)Stefan wrote: 5nd6l

This is already possible, The fallback is the difference between osu! and osu!testSilynn wrote: 6f6f3u
This way, the players who want to see these features will end up helping out, and the people who can't be fucked to help but are bothered by the bugs, changes, etc, have something to go back to in the mean time.

When you run osume.exe, you can click the osu!test check box in the extra's tab, and it will the osu!test.exe into your osu root folder. Of course this only works for ers.Willi096 wrote: 203c61
