while options-background.png is deleted from resource (replaced by menu-background.jpg) by peppy~
inputoverlay-background.png must be constructed from top to bottom because osu! rotates it by 90° to the right. Or construct it from bottom to top and rotate the image by 180°.

Still not sure what is the problem here... You removed bg? But which? BG from map? And after , that badly cropped, anime girl showed up there?

Actually it's new skin part that i just have found. But nvm, just a small change for my personal favourite. :)

osu! history page is your friend guys.
"clicktostart.png" Is most likely that button to start in very early version of osu!. It's useless now.

I'm pretty sure someone decompiled osu! files to find info about that... but I'm surprised that it's till there and working. o.O

as expected... dragtobrowse.png appears behind the leaderboard...

dragtobrowse is an instruction to drag something around there (but not touch the leaderboard), and browse the song selection up and down (regarding direction of your drag)

It's should be appeared beside the osu icon in song selection xD

no, i didn't do anything to dragtobrowse till i touch image editor again to "move the temporary try of dragtobrowse" into dragtobrowse.
well, it was different from dragtobrowse, (also, the other hint/note : smaller version can't be changed)
(dragtobrowse is centreright aligned then)

hint: it was my try to change the skin behind there before dragtobrowse.png is the true answer instead.

Well we shouldn't care much about these. If someone want to do something with them, go ahead, but they are dead elements that shouldn't be there.
If they aren't affected by aspect ratio they are from times before "widescreen" update.

I'm pretty sure it's that bar. I think it can be funny to edit that. ^^;

Both of them is not my way.
I don't have enough programming skill to decompile a big project like osu!
I've tried to read Osu!.dll using Visual Studio 2012. But it's nothing more than a...binary file and i don't understand anything in that ... xD
Btw: I forgot the sound match-ready in multi mode. You can add it, but after that you must restart osu to take effect. I don't understand why...since the image part we only need to reload skin in option... xD

I've tried it but...i don't know why in my pc, it only can change the image part. All hitsound parts don't change until i restart osu!

With VS2012 (and every other VS-Release), you only can watch the hexadecimal "code" of the dll, not actually anything that's inside.
Yes, and that's why i must find another way to see skin part. But not all. xD
Actually, i knew exactly how much parts that osu contains, but i can't read them all or see how those thing designed. :(
All i see is only a hex code and binary. :(

your main BG is dimmed around 25~30%
this new UI tactic from peppy completley destroys my affords from my skin X.x

For osu!mania settings you must have separate files - 4k.ini, 5k.ini, 6k.ini 7k.ini and 8k.ini

Just to inform you guys, you can now skin backgrounds for widescreen resolutions, yes I mean pause, fail etc. (The safest should be 1366x768 resolution). But be careful with it, and always check how it will look in 4:3. Or as alternative if you are going to post your skin at forum, make 2 versions of it.

Like I said before, in nearest days I will start testing everything from beginning and will provide any new informations. ^.^
ranking screen too s widescreen, but every elements there aren't widescreen (just the 5 circles that spinning slowly around grade element that affected by widescreen)
Either I'm just not guessing the right dimensions, or ranking- no longer covers the entire screen.

Yes, now we are able to put widescreen background. (probably in beatmaps too). If you use 1024x768 playfield, it will be resized to fit any widescreen resolution.
BUT if you use widescreen playfield, osu! will add black bars on upper and bottom part of screen. It depends with one resolution you are using so the bars will be larger or smaller. As I said before again the safest should be 1366x768 to have it working on every aspec ratio.
Is there a way to add characters to the side of the screen when you get enough no-misses? Or did i overlook something? :?

Great. I never knew hitcircle overlay could be animated.
Is it just me or does a 1366x768 matchsetup-background.png not fit properly?

Because that background it's still in progress. The official background is only in 1024x768 and you wouldn't be able to have it on widescreen. The main problem with it, is that the numbers and texts like "Game type" "Mods" "Beatmaps" are part of background.
options-background, lobby-background and matchsetup-background doesnt work :C

options and lobby has been removed. Instead of them you can see your menu-background if you are er.

For matchsetup-background check if you haven't made any mistake, since it's working just fine for me.
why options- and lobby-background has been removed?

after the last update the lobby-bg still work but then i changed it and only then i doesnt work anymore
