Today I had the most real dream I have ever dreamed:
In the dream, OT! was mentioned in an unexpected place, and I was going to say that on OT!, but I woke up and saw it was a dream, so I decided to post the dream on OT!, lol.
Today I dreamed that there was a professor at college who asked us to buy a certain math book or the PDF because it would be the one we would use in class. When my book arrived and I opened it, I discovered that in most of the pages, there were cute anime girls. I also opened to a random page that mentioned the existence of OT! (It was something like "There are many off-topic forums on the internet. Among them, a good example is the off-topic forum of the rhythm game osu!, also known as OT!"). I couldn’t believe it, and I didn't understand why this was in a math book, but I didn’t realize it was a dream, so I genuinely thought it was real for some reason, and all I wanted was to get home and show the pages of the book here (I even taking a pen and making a small line on my hand, which I usually do when I want to something later). Unfortunately, I woke up and saw that everything was just a dream. It all felt so real… I could actually read what was written on the pages (also, for some reason the book was in English, not Portuguese), and I very clearly solving the first question that was assigned but then getting lost in the pages looking for more anime girls and then never being able to find that page again and answer the second question, which was a question about lines, where I had to find the slope.
Honestly, if it were someone else here who had this dream and posted it here, I don't know if I would believe it (especially the part about being able to read everything clearly, which is very rare and has never happened to me before, but ChatGPT said it might have been an illusion (or maybe not), even though I'm sure I read things clearly).

When I got there, I discovered that Scyla had a company that sold motorcycles (he also had a harem), and for some reason, the philippine police were trying to kill everyone who lived in the area we were in, and Scyla was the protector of everyone. After that, my brother and I were being persecuted, and he died. But later, when I returned to Brazil, he was there, acting normally, but he was just an evil ghost that seemed real, and after I found out, he disappeared. I can't what Scyla looked like.

Part of me regrets not posting more "high effort" or interesting stuff in OT while I was active, since I knew I had potential to, but bottom line is it was kinda hard to find motivation to spend time creating something that's basically just a more memorable shitpost. The more worthwhile threads and convos I cooked up were a lot of fun tho. We're talking real high-brow intellectual humor such as me making love to my own hat and opening up my own gentlemens club full of sexy shirtless cowboys 😳. What why are you looking at me like that?

My times were when roleplay was at its peak. When we organized events and played together. Thats how we bonded as a niche community. Nobody has the dedication to commit to multiple of such events even if I sacrifice my soul for it. The only way I know how to restore OT is by replicating its roleplay times. If people pick up on it, and propogate the play it starts feeling more like an interesting place. Naturally from then people would start organizing events and dedicate more time to here because it actually becomes interesting

It’s actually disgusting how many cases of sexual misconduct have happened in this community over the course of osu’s history. I know that there’s only so much that can be done moderation-wise, especially when a lot of it happens off-site, but it would be nice if more proactive measures were taken to create a safer environment to help prevent these things from happening in the first place.
Maybe it’s just the type of people that this weeb autism clicking game attracts, or maybe it’s the fact that a large part of the community doesn’t push back against such obvious pedophilic behaviors/ jokes. The complacency towards loli pedo shit is vile. Either way, it’s definitely a multi-factored and complex issue.
Unfortunate that moderation seems to be heavily reactive rather than proactive.

All things considered osu moderation by peppy's philosophy needs to be reactive. If we try to be proactive, and we make a mistake, then peppy's first question is "where is the report for that". Then the probable second one is "why touch it if there is no report". So realistically we can only be proactive with shit that is clear cut.Penguin wrote: 2n5p3w

That all said, most of us believe it's better to be proactive. Some us go out of our way to be proactive. I made a bot to catch offending avatars, map bgs, etc. Another gmt made an AI to detect explicit avatars. Even so, after monitoring the shit for a few years it gets tiring. Each can be proactive for maybe 2-4 years before getting burnout. After that point they become reactive by looking at reports as intended. Then even that gets monotonous, so they either resign, stick around waiting for an occasional highlight to handle shit, or keep themselves there for istrative / decision voting purposes.
