Yes, not all NPC's are carbon copy of each other, thing is, they're all based on the same principles, and those principles bring toxicity and creates massive echo chambers inside OT.

Again, as I say, thing like "respecting OT lore" while completely not doing this, being so positive that the praise you give can hurt other people, people just being afraid of giving their own personal opinion on things because "Oh I will form a disscussion and people will hate me for it"

Also, lostsilver is fine since they're a child, the things i'm more worried about are stuff like the NO SWEARING THREAD and just people not reading my thread and going "but we still love you <3333333", like, you're trying to act positive and say that you care about me while also not reading my threads and hearing me out, that is straight up lying and can hurt people. My point is that by just being more understasnding in OT to different opinions and being honest with the things we care and do not care in OT, we can create a BETTER environment, not just everyone acting with the same 3 principles which are actually damaging

I say you're fine because you DON'T follow those principles and aren't afraid of actually saying whatever you want, even if you get a little bit too angry sometimes

i think you need to understand that most people are either misinterpreting your insults as banter (doesn't help that the negativity thread, a thread intended as a joke for the most part, exists), making fun of you, or see that you're clearly going through something and don't want to make it worse, hence the "love you <3" messages in your initial thread. that last one is a response coming from genuine comion, not people refusing to see you in a negative light

I do think being somewhat negative from time to time can be somewhat helpful, as for both you and the person your criticizing as long as its somewhat reasonable, and not just pure blatant hate and stuff

As you said in your other thread about OT chronicles and Vahalla of OT, people dont really care anymore about it, back then, lots of peeps wanted to be included in the chronicle, now that isnt the case as the last update was months ago, and more peeps are just interested solely on the denizen status.

Karmine also summarizes the other thread pretty well:

”The point is that no one cares about anyone else and only post for themselves, rendering everything useless and forgettable.
Things would be more interesting if there were some debates (call it drama if you will) from time to time, we could see how there are actually different people who interact with each other and not just NPCs.”

While drama/debates can be interesting, it really just depends though as some drama can be somewhat too serious, but if you like that sort of thing, then twitter and reddits do have lots of that kind of bickering there i suppose…

This thread has some people discussing something (their view on OT people), some are trolling, some are kinda derailing. It's how a normal active thread should be, there's no drama (go have a look at mapping drama to see what it's really like). It looks like you want it locked and instead want every thread to just be something no one will care about enough to reply with something interesting or create an actual discussion.

This is literally the problem Patatita is talking about.
This thread has some people discussing something (their view on OT people), some are trolling, some are kinda derailing. It's how a normal active thread should be, there's no drama (go have a look at mapping drama to see what it's really like). It looks like you want it locked and instead want every thread to just be something no one will care about enough to reply with something interesting or create an actual discussion.

I now know. Thanks. I mean, being yourself is far more important then acting someway because you feel like you won't fit in. You don't have to fit in. OT is a place where conversations and stuff are supposed to be illogical and silly. And yeah. I've also noticed that many people fail to create a high quality thread and there are some of those which don't get recognisation. Everyone has their own opinion about certain people and subjects. All of us need to address it and respect every part of it. Cause in the end of the day we are a part of a community of millions of players.

Well, I got what I wished for when I made this thread. I'm starting to make up with that friend of mine, so I honestly kinda don't care anymore. I haven't bothered fully reading anything you guys said. I'm sure it is well indented, but I am honestly just here to make friends and chill, not get angry for whatever reason or argue every time I come here. I don't make good threads, I don't make good replies, but it ultimately doesn't matter.

What I personally really like about how OT is modded is how approachable and integrated GMTs feel. Yeah you can definitely be a that's fully a part of the community and be professional with your modding duties, and I will agree that Corne doesn't have much professionalism which it would be nice if he had more of in certain cases, and I will also say that professionalism would be very good in cases above a certain seriousness threshold, but I personally don't really care about professionalism because I think professionalism in OT in the vast majority of cases isn't important, and I think it's cool how the mods aren't incredibly professional, which makes them feel more like a part of the community I think.

I guess Corne likes to make jokes and non-serious remarks when doing mod actions, but again, I don't think it's important in the vast majority of cases and I also think it's kinda neat. Under my personal definition of what "zoomer grammar" is, the only two people that I can think of that post regularly in OT and use "zoomer grammar" outside of making "zoomer grammar" jokes is me and Jarcrafted, maybe Dementedduck (and looking at this thread, Reyalp)? Yeah also I don't really agree with some of Corne's locks, but honestly with how locks are treated in OT, outside of stuff that blatantly goes against the rules locks really do feel like they're to be used however the fuck the mod wants, and I don't really mind because no-one goes overboard with it. In fact I think the way locks are looked at in OT is actually really cool, like they've ascended just being a modding tool to stop rule-breaking threads and into a cool concept that feels like part of the culture. It's to the point that Abraker can do meta-roleplay by locking the entire front page and it's actually really fun instead of annoying, and a lot of threads that eventually get locked have people joking about how the thread should be locked before a mod follows up, like locking is a shared, communal, cultural thing instead of something only restricted to mods. Basically all this to say I don't really mind Corne's locks because he doesn't go overboard and they fit in with the culture of OT overall.

The only thing I feel like I can really say is that I don't really like how you haven't really done anything with OT once you became it's overlord. Like Abraker felt like kinda the heart and soul of OT even though I wasn't around for most of it, half the most notable threads were made by him attempting to chronicle everything, and he's been a driving force in stuff like roleplay (which I guess is mostly a relic of the past now), and he's made lots of great threads, even nowadays with the board-game thread, while idk it feels you haven't done much of anything outside of the OT book (more on this later) and simple moderation. I definitely don't think this should be any sort of obligation, I think as long as you do the job of moderation properly all is well, but it would be really cool to see what Corne2plum3's OT could be, beyond you just leaving OT to it's own devices like how you do nowadays.

I don't want to bash you for doing barely anything for OT overall while completely ignoring what you've done for the OT Book so I just wanted to say your contributions to the OT Book are actually goated, like this shit would've literally died like 5 times over without you around, I am 100% not reliable enough to run something by myself

From a purely observational standpoint, Corne is a more lenient GMT of OT, however I no longer see it as a bad thing. Sure, I miss Abraker's strict locking policy, but now that we're in a relaxed generation more accepting of newcomers, I don't think Corne has to follow suit. Also, we've got 2 GMT's in OT now, so a lot has changed.

As for Corne's contributions to OT, I disagree with Yoony's take. Without Corne's involvement in the denizenship committee, there would be no way for us to continue that tradition. Corne also occasionally helps in the upkeeping of other projects too. The only reason it looks like Corne doesn't make good threads, it's because he is heavily involved in a project, but isn't the one who makes the thread for it.

I'd also argue that "leaving OT to it's own devices" is Corne2plum3's OT. If he kept locking threads like Abraker did, it would just be Abraker's OT.

I see, I didn't know that Corne did all this other stuff for OT. Not sure what this "project" is, but it does feel like you've been teasing some sorta project for a while, and if it's the same one and taking this long it must be massive and pretty cool.

I still kinda stand by my old point though, yeah maybe we can see "leaving OT to it's own devices" as Corne's OT, but in my opinion this is probably the most boring way to run OT if all Corne does is background stuff, like I feel anyone could do this and it'd be the same. Maybe this all completely changes with the "project", idk. I also want to make it clear that I have 0 problems with this and like OT as it is now, just that it'd be cooler if there was some more stuff to spice things up, maybe from the person who has the biggest combination of being the most active and has the most amount of power.
