well... it's a mixture of the two. deep down, I was most likely fishing for compliments, but I couldn't really see it because I was so angry at myself I didn't put much thought into anything else other than me being a dumdum. I did everything as I was going through my mind and I didn't put a lot of thought into it and as I result I did the very thing I was scared I was doing. if my brain isn't fucked just a little bit there, then I don't know, dude.

It doesn't give on how someone can improve, whatever the fuck it is. I agree with you on this. Telling someone to "just embrace it" isn't good constructive criticism. It just reinforces whatever behavior they already have, whether it be good or bad, and it doesn't promote growth as an individual. It's basically just telling someone that it's easier to just remain the same rather than trying to improve themselves.
