In less than one week, we've already more than 5 singers who have a really good level (which wasn't the case last year)!
I'm pretty sure this year will be interesting : )
That is perfectly fine, just forum PM me all your enties, make sure you label which track is for which stage.Hard wrote: s3m46
is it okay if I record all the songs for all the stages ?
I don't think that i will all stages at all but I don't have time to record a lot in the next months but I really want to participate. so i want to record 2 free songs, 1 pop and 1 rock this week so I can at least kinda participate... if i make it far of course. Just for the case and stuff... Would that be okay or do we have to record the stuff in the destinated weeks?
What part of no effects are allowed didn't you understandMy Angel Zeraph wrote: i6o2c
So when I read the rules saying it could be mixed down I thought it was alright to add reverb to it to make it even out with the song.
I just went through the comments though and saw that reverb wasn't allowed and only found out after I submitted my entry,
would it be okay for me to resubmit my entry without the reverb?

I want to osu!idol but I don't have a microphone or programs for the audio. What should I do? Also is their like a rule for songs like no profanity or something like that? Just want to make sure. Oh and can the duet be someone that's not on Osu?
You need to have a microphone to be able to record.Roseheart614 wrote: 232k3q

It's not that I couldn't find an instrumental. It's more just that I made this the other day: https://soundcloud.com/asher-mcmahon/pyt-acapella and I figured it may be good enough to use.LoliFlan wrote: 3g3a5n
No, why do that, couldn't find an instrumental?iAshy wrote: 1n5h6w
In the rules, it says no dual vocal layers - Would that mean that a complete vocal arrangement would be out of the question?
e.g: Beatboxing for drums, "ooh ahhs" for guitars etc.

I'll get rid of the reverb and delay effects.

Also, is it fine if the entry is not a full song?
Like, the song is 3 minutes long, but I cover 2 of those 3 minutes?
Good luck to everyone~ > v <)/

Whoa, totally. At least, nobody sent Sandstorm
Generally, we don't really like our own voice. But if I can give you only one advice, just try to get your air from your chest, not only from your throat. You'll end up singing louder and better.C0medy425 wrote: 3n575c

Ehh, I probably won't, but thanks for the advice!LightDreamer wrote: lq5b

If you end up being better than me, well, I'll be happy to follow you.
You can use Audacity to lower the pitch.C0medy425 wrote: 3n575c

The main problem I run into is that I can't find songs sung by female singers where I can actually reach all the notes, so I might enter singing songs intended for male singers, which will be interesting... we'll see![]()

Or any song from Lorde, her voice is really low too.

i don't even what my range is
I don't know my voice range by numbers for each octave, but my chest voice (I think that's what it's called) goes from the C one octave below middle C, to A=440theramdans wrote: t1u5u

(g3- c6 range is a tenor,right?)
Oh yeah, I love this song! Too bad, I'm a soprano, so I can't sing it properly.C0medy425 wrote: 3n575c

I'll consider Lorde; for registration I thought about Daniel Powter - Bad Day
Uh... is it okay if it's 1:00? It's a TV sized but I can't sing the beggining because it's layered and the end is... https://youtu.be/ESNaZgL4TaI?t=1m16sLoliFlan wrote: 3g3a5n
For the stages, please sing the entire song you are choosing.
For registrations it doesnt matter, just make sure your entry is long enough like say around 1:30 like a tv size heh.
