navi agree, winner loser bracket sounds very compelling.

oh and in regards to the previous post, im not disrespecting any players or at least didnt mean to (soz charley you are better than me for that matter) but it just seemed to me that most of the top 10 were bunched in the last letters of the bracket and you alone were in the top facing very few to players till mabye 5th game, just an opinion, dont get too wound up over it, just a little criticism

I thought the map pool was going to be piss hard difficult but I can play most of those maps, I might be able to tiebreaker.

That was the point of it.

Everybody should be able to play those maps more or less, but those better players will find them easier to fc under the pressure.

My priorities when choosing hr maps were:

reasonably low hp drain
not-so-hard to full combo


Kinema might be hard to high acc, but you can still pull off a fc. There is one slowdown when you might fail but just after there is a bunch of consecutive reverse sliders so you can revive easily. D:

AFAIK It's not that you can't recover. You will lose the map only when you fail and don't recover. I'll ask Portal about it but since he is doing this tournament in OWC fashion in of match rules, it should be the way I just said.

I don't like it, but well. Just please make sure it's obvious from reading the rules. (write sth like "When you fail, you lose the map [even if you recover])


In this case Kinema Lolita is not a suitable pick (though I think its hp drain is still low enough, there are scores with like 95 accuracy on HHR)

You don't recover in team vs. 1v1, you just die straight up when your HP reaches 0 and it goes to score screen.

Updates: The tournament cilent will not work for us sadly so we have to not use it and do our traditional streaming method: One player at a time. Sorry guys. :(

None of the nomods are DTable even for Doomsday, Jesse, Raharu and Mudkipz combined :<

I mean the mappools RO16 and further for those are for more advanced players. It's basically OWC-near level. And for sure OWC 2012 level.

I think I don't have to say that DTable means DT FCable. Not random lucky .



Personally, I find Space Rainbow harder than Shuffle Heaven or Mei. I'm kind of predicting which players will advance and which won't and basing the difficulty on that. Final is going to be like last OWC's semifinal in of difficulty, I think.

Also bear in mind I cannot pick many maps because of no-revival rule. If I find a map which has one very hard moment or has a very high drain, I ignore it.

Why am I explaining this right now? Maps might be slow but enough.

The main purpose of the maps is for the better players to win. I don't see any unexpected results yet.

I'd appreciate an accurate rather than "I pazt wiz DT onc es ezy"

Well. all the maps for the tournament have been selected. Special thanks to Amai and Andrea for their and contributions with map selection. We had some difficulty towards the end but we made it happen. GJ guys

- As little repetitions from other tournaments (OWC, last UK tour) as possible.
- AR 9 for all maps excluding DTs and some freemods
- Low HP as to ensure players won't fail easily (HardRock) + for the same purpose, ignoring maps with at least one easy-to-fail moment.



That was awfully difficult. Andrea didn't contribute as much to the pools but he agreed that he can take all the blame if maps are unsatisfactory.
Good luck to all participants, go beyond your limits.

about the same difficulty as the owc semifinals of last year. So probably a different map pool. Sensible seeing as the finals are going to be 2 owc level players anyway

The grand finals are over! Mudkipz takes it in a epic game, 6-5 barely winning the tiebreaker.
