This release continues to fix some elements of the new skin which were affecting older skins (there's still a few cases left like the ranking screen which I am still working on – bear with me!). It also adds an exciting new feature called unified scoreboards. You will now see friends, same mod plays and local scores all in the same listing at the song select screen! This is currently limited to ers only while I load test the system, but this may change in the future.



A quick video of unified scoreboards in action:

Hopefully this will make the game much more competitive for players which aren't aiming for the top 50ish scores, which are highly contested. You can now see how you are doing against your friends and people who play using the same difficulty modifiers as you.

This build also adds a button to make it more apparent that online ranking is available at the ranking screen by scrolling down.

Also, why are guys that are ranked like #10 are shown as -- in the unified ranking ?

This seams a good idea but I'll miss the ability to show scores up to 400, because it is usfull for seing if all top 400 players use mods or not when you want to try to FC a map to gain a few PP (Because sometimes a FC nomod makes you top 1000+)

That's rather nice, but what's that number that sometimes is displayed as -- ? I'm guessing it's the score difference with the previous best record ?

EDIT: it's the difference in points with the next player in the ranking.

Same for me. I'm too bad to get high scores so I just play through the maps hoping to get an S ranking. Trying to beat friends would be a great new goal to go for.

Auto scrolling triggers my OCD.

I'm not too impressed though. Switching between online/local/friend scoreboards would be better in my opinion. It looks a bit messy this way. I guess I'll get used to it.

Pretty cool, but that scrolling is like blah. I'm more interested in looking at the part of the scoreboard I'm at, rather than scrolling away from the score. (Yes the scrolling stops by mouse-over, but let's say you're looking for a score, finds it, then opens chat, changes tab -> moves away mouse).

Aaaand a lot of times I'm usually just interested in the top scores anyway, so this scrolling behaviour is like ;_;

Other than that the new scoreboard is cool though!

however, the automatic scrolling thing is a bit annoying. It should only scroll down if you're not moving/touching anything at all. So if you're moving your cursor or typing, it should go back up again. many even wants to disable it completely.

I also think sudden death and perfect mod ranks should be ignored as a default for all mods you can select, but once you select one of the two you start to filter out all the other ones.

The score list don't scroll down only when you moving on it, and you must go back, it don't scroll up if you don't use the mouse wheel or move up the scroll bar

but i can see that just from a quick glance at it, it looks kind of cluster-ish. just a small notice

http://puu.sh/2nESi - this is what my unified scoreboard looks like now. The scores won't load. I have a really slow internet connection, but normally scores would load with about one second delay, so I think it's not because of my internet. The normal (not unified) scoreboard won't load either.

I restarted my client and it worked again, but when I clicked another beatmap, it wouldn't load...

Yes, that's normal. When you have unified ranking checked you see the ranks with mods you have selected, they can be any rank.
This is obviously to avoid a cluttered online ranking.

Awesome update, but one thing bothers me:
I can't see local scores during playing anymore and I am not good enough to get rank #50+ on nomod, so seeing these during playing doesn't help and makes the in-game scoreboard pretty much useless for me since I don't have many friends.

Local scores should show up in-game. Please report this in tech if it is replicable.

Disable auto-scrolling.

The only things I don't like about this is the unified ranking being turned on after I finish every map and the scrolling down on the ranking display thing. Other than those, this is pretty nice!

It scrolls until it reaches your own score.

I really like this unified ranking system. But i don't really understand how it exactlty works or why i can't see people's ranking place.

Also, i scored an A that was better than my S a few moments ago. The A was saved online, but what was shown was the S. If i wanted to check my A I had to scroll.
Things like that make me think i don't know how this new system works.

It really looks good. but i miss the buttons on top.

I think it would be nice if i could go to options and disable autoscrolling or choose what i want to be shown in a way i could choose.

Sometimes my local score is on the left when I'm playing and sometimes it is not. Guessing it must be a bug since it's not permanent.

Nice update! Autoscrolling is a bit annoying but from the outcry I assume it'll be fixed soon.

The two things I'd like to see changed:
1. More top overall scores: Maybe not back to 400, but 40 would be nice.
2. An option to put your local scores at the top. Having to scroll down to them all the time is a little annoying.

The new limit is rank 50, but you will see pretty much all ranks with the mods you have selected anyway with unified.

you've hit ctrl-tab somehow and activated live-mapping mode, hit it again to disable xc override

It'd be nice if there were 3 buttons: Top 40, Friends, and Local. It'd be much easier to understand in my opinion.

Like the overall update. Personally i haven't seen the local scoreboard autoscroll, but maybe I'm just not paying attention. One thing that confuses me is the point of the local score since it seems really cluttered when you have a lot of plays on a specific song. Also i think when you have a local score that is the same as your personal best its a bit redundant since you end up having 3 of the same score on the board.
The thing i would want to see changed is that maybe all local scores get moved under the personal best that shows the rank, then you dont have the issue like my image that shows a local score, a personal best, then more local scores.

So yea like the update, cant wait for unified to go live for free s(its a really nice feature but im certainly not paying for it haha)
