I highly recommend not doing a "mod-one-difficulty-as-fast-as-you-can-on-as-many-maps-as-you-can" experiment right before your app gets looked at.

All applications are accepted and personally read by me and staff.

On a side note we're already gotten a ton of great applications, this round should be one of the best in awhile.

I looked over a couple of your mods and you do indeed have the potential. You should definitely mod more.

Just because someone is good at mapping does not make them MAT material. It's one thing to map well, it's quite another to be able to put into words why someone is not mapping well and what they need to do to fix their mapping.

If you want my view of what a MAT should be. MATs need to be critical. They need to know where to draw the line between mapper style, and mapper error and not cave in when the mapper disagrees. as MAT you are the expert. You are the one who is trusted with upholding quality standards, so make sure you know what those standards are. The mapper is ignorant when it comes to quality standards. In any point where this is not correct, then you are the one who is ignorant.

A MAT is fair. MATs should make sure that they are modding maps from a wide variety of music, and mappers. If you only like a small variety of music, then perhaps you should take some time to expand your modding capacity so that you wont be only modding certain types of maps. A part of being fair is not being biased. If you only mod certain types of music, you are only catering to people who enjoy the types of music you like.

Bias is a problem with many mappers and pros alike.

Those who specialize in particular gamemodes are the exception.

Sweet! I really appreciate what these guys do. I've tried having a modding queue before, it's a REAL drain on your time and mental energy. Plus, when you're at my level, you always come across that ONE map you can't clear. And then your song library is full of unranked songs when you're just playing (although you can filter them out). xD

But yeah, great to see that there are new MATs being added to the team! Hopefully we can get all of these unranked maps knocked down in number someday soon.

They could actually provide examples as to why they deserve MAT. X for MAT states nothing about the person. This is not a popularity contest, one's qualifications must be shown through example.
