For the most hyped up basketball prospect of all time with unlimited potential and unworldly expectations to not only reach the expectations of being an all time great, but absolutely shattering them and becoming arguably the GREATEST OF ALL TIME is a testament to LeBron’s dedication of perfecting his craft.
“LeBron doesn’t have a killer instinct”
If LeBron doesn’t have a killer instinct then why was he THE guy on all 4 of his championship runs and all 10 of his Finals appearances? Why did he win the Eastern Conference 8 years in a row?
“LeBron has no bag”
You don’t just Kareem Abdul Jabbar for most points if you have no bag . You don’t become the only player with 40,000 points FORTY FUCKING THOUSAND with no bag. That’s 27 points per game for over 20 seasons. You also don’t become an all time great facilitator with nearly 11,000 career assists, become the only player with 10k points, 10k rebounds, 10k assists in NBA history, have the most all star appearances, all NBA selections, win 4 mvps (should be more but voter fatigue kicked in) with no bag
“LeBron played in a weak era”
If LeBron played in a weak era wouldn’t that also apply to Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Shaquille O’Neal, Dirk Nowitzki, Paul Pierce, Ben Wallace, Ray Allen, Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady etc.? Or does it only apply to LeBron because you dislike him?
I’m not asking you to change your viewpoint on who you think the goat is, but what I will ask is for some of you stubborn anti LeBron oldhead NBA fans to appreciate greatness for what it is and stop always trying to discredit Bron for everything he has and may still accomplish in the remainder of his career. In reality LeBron James is not going to play forever and his career is coming to an end sooner than later and I hope some of you will realize just how fortunate you were to be able to witness a generational once in a lifetime athlete. Regardless of how you feel about LeBron I guarantee there will be a massive void and absence felt in the NBA the day he decides to retire.
