This thread serves as the announcement and discussion thread for OT Bingo 3. Any questions, comments, concerns, and rants regarding the game go here.

This game will run from Dec 1 - Dec 31. No threads nor posts outside that date range will count. Only threads in the OT forum count and non of its subforums. No posts in this thread count. By receiving a silence for any forum related activity, you forfeit the game. Yes, players were kicked for bingo unrelated silences last game. Respect the forum rules and don't do stupid shit.

After a Bingo has been declared, the game enters a 7 week endgame period. During this period all boards will be posted, and players try to find any mistakes I may have made. Depending on how badly I mess up there can be a different winner.

You will start receiving google spreadsheet links to bingo tables starting tomorrow, so keep an eye out in osu chat/pm. For convenience, I can also send you screenshot updates of the bingo table over discord. DM me in discord if you want that. Updates to the boards should happen in no longer than 36-48 hour intervals.


FAQ:

Q: What are those purple boxes that have "Locks if there are or were two or more cases of 6 squares in-a-row" in them?
A: Purple boxes are special boxes that react to things in the game. In this particular case these purple squares are unlocked from beginning, so they are kinda like free squares. However, for those particular ones if you happen to unlock 6 squares in a row (horizontal or vertical) in two different instances, then those two boxes will become locked. So they basically become dead weight.

Q: Is layout for each player special?
A: Every player has the same boxes, just shuffled around randomly. Everyone has 2 of those purple boxes, and I made sure that non of those purple boxes got randomly placed in same column or row as the other.

Q: What if I make a post that would complete a cell of the bingo before Dec 1, will it be counted when Dec 1 comes or will I need to re-do it?
A: It will not count.

Q: How are the boards updated?
A: There is no automatic system that detects what your posts have. I am manually going through each post and updating the boards. The only automatic part is the copying of the boards from a master google spreadsheet you don't have access to over to each player's google spreadsheet. A script for doing this for OT Bingo 2 can be found here.

Q: Can I the game if I have an active silence?
A: If you already have an active silence before the game has started, then you will not be automatically disqualified for that silence when the game begins. If you are not part of the game, get a silence after the game has begun, and then decide to the game, then you will be automatically disqualified upon ing. In short, don't get a silence while that game is running if you want to play.

A tip to all participants: posting a porn thread is the middle "free space" box. I know because I had a Discord call with abraker yesterday and he told me. This should be your top priority.

The only ones that are marked.

A little clarification regarding disqualification due to silences: If you already have an active silence before the game has started you will not be automatically disqualified for that silence when the game begins.
