  1. Ijichi Nijika Suiji (INS), affectionately referred to as NijiSuiji, is an international 4v4 tournament with team size 8.
  2. The rank range is #1,000 - #52,900 with standard BWS (badge weighted seeding). Badges obtained before January 1st 2021 are not counted toward BWS.
  3. Teams will be formed through a randomization format known as "Suiji".


  1. This is a 4v4 suiji tournament with a team size of 8 players.
  2. Players must be between a rank range of #1,000 - #52,900 BWS.
    1. Players will and play a qualifiers stage individually.
    2. The top 128 seeded players (by max percent) will qualify for suijification.
  3. Players who qualified for suijification will be split into 4 tiers (T1, T2, T3, T4) based on their BWS rank.
    1. BWS Formula = global_rank ^ (0.9937 ^ (badge_count ^ 2))
      Tier 1: 1-32
      Tier 2: 33-64
      Tier 3: 65-96
      Tier 4: 97-128
    2. Each team will consist of 2 players from each tier. Each tiers will be split into an upper half and a lower half. One pair consists of one player from each half.
  4. Teams have 3 days to decide on a Bocchi the Rock! related team name and captain.
    1. If no team name is specified, teams will be given a Bocchi the Rock! related name.
    2. The highest ranked player on the team will automatically designated captain unless otherwise requested.
  5. Bracket seeding is entirely determined by the suijification. Team 1 plays versus Team 16, Team 2 plays versus Team 15, and so on.
  6. All matches will be played using Team VS, ScoreV2, NoFail enforced.
  7. All scheduling and other events will be done in UTC.
  8. Reschedules may be submitted at any time before a scheduled match, but any reschedules past Friday 23:59UTC may be denied.
  9. Staff are not permitted to play in the tournament, with the exception of streamers, GFX designers, and commentators.
  10. All players must the Discord server before the end of registration or else they will not be allowed to play.
  11. **The tournament will be expanded to 256 players if the number of s permits a competitive tournament. The number of teams and rounds will be scaled appropriately in such case.


  1. All players are expected to maintain a respectful environment throughout the duration of the tournament. The host may report any players who display any disrespectful or abusive behavior to the Tournament Committee.
  2. Any players who choose to drop out of the tournament must do so before the suijification.
    1. Any qualifying player that drops out or fails screening will be removed from the suijification, and seeding will be adjusted to accommodate for the vacancy.
    Suiji Procedure
  3. Players will be selected using a wheel of fortune and be placed onto teams in their proper tiers starting from Team 1 to Team 16, and restarting back at Team 1.
  4. If a player chooses not to play AFTER the suijification is complete, their team will not get a replacement.

    Match Procedures
  5. The referee will create the match lobby and invite both team captains. Captains are responsible for inviting their own team.
    1. If a team captain is unavailable, and no other substitute is specified, the referee will send the invite to the highest ranked player that is available, who will assume the captain's responsibilities.
  6. If the captain fails to the match 5 minutes after their scheduled match time, their team will lose their roll and ban(s).
  7. If a team fails to acquire at least 1 player from each tier 10 minutes after the scheduled match time, the opposing team wins by default unless a timely reschedule is agreed upon.
  8. There are no warmups.
  9. At the start of the match, captains will !roll. The winner of the roll chooses either the pick order or the ban order. The loser of the roll then chooses the remaining order.
    1. Ban order is ABBA.
    2. Double picks and double bans are allowed.
  10. Teams will have 90 seconds to ban maps. Failure to do so will result in the loss of the ban.
  11. Teams will have 90 seconds to pick maps. Failure to do so will result in the pick going to the opposing team without impacting the remaining pick order.
    1. Each team is given a 2 minute timeout per match. A timeout will be automatically used the first time a team's timer runs out during the picking phase. There are no timeouts for bans.
  12. On freemod picks, 1 player must play HD only, 1 player must play HR only, and 1 player must choose a mod combination besides NM (3 modded players total). The remaining player may choose to play with any mod combination, including NM.
    1. HDHR does not fulfill the HR requirement, and EZHD and EZ do not fulfill the HD requirement.
    2. Scores with EZ will be multiplied by 1.75. FL will have no multiplier.
  13. Only one player per tier will be allowed to play in the lobby during any map. If a team plays through a map with a roster outside of these specifications, they will forfeit the point. It is up to the players to field a valid roster.
  14. Teams will have 90 seconds for 4 players to enter the lobby and ready up after each map pick.
  15. If a player disconnects from the lobby during a map, the disconnected player's score will be added to the team total if there is proof (screenshot, livestream) of the disconnected player's score. If the team cannot provide ample evidence of a score, the team score will only consist of the remaining players.
  16. Teams are allowed to ask for an abort due to technical difficulties and emergencies within 30 seconds.
  17. Suspected abuse of this rule may lead to disqualification.
