[osu!lazer] Input lag spikes on lazer 2d5o32

Hello,
I switched from osu! to osu!lazer a month ago, and since then I’ve been experiencing small but frequent input lag spikes while playing. These micro-stutters are consistent and noticeable, and they negatively affect my gameplay.

To show the issue, I’ve recorded two videos demonstrating the problem in action.

Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a known solution or workaround? I’ve already tried looking for fixes, but unfortunately, nothing I found has worked so far.

I appreciate any help!

The typical checklist is

  1. try shutting down any background processes that may be hogging input (device manufacturer software, backgrounded apps)
  2. if using mouse with a >1000Hz polling rate, drop to 1000Hz and less and try again

Unfortunately that didn’t solve the issue I lowered the polling rate from 1000Hz to 500Hz and ran the game with no other programs running in the background aside from OpenTabletDriver. The problem still persists.

Well i finally found the fix for me:

Turns out the issue was with my mouse. I initially thought the lag appeared “randomly,” but it actually happened every time my wireless mouse went into standby mode (Logitech G Pro X).

I just turn of my mouse when i play osu!.

Maybe you have the same mouse, if not look out for other devices on your pc and their Programms/Drivers — hopefully this helps you too! <3
