Welcome to the Taiko Mapping Contest hosted by the CIS Taiko Beatmapping Events server for the entire Taiko community!
In this event mappers will compete at their ability to create maps for the osu!taiko gamemode. You can follow the event process and check the future ones in our Discord Server!
CTBE RST #1 - Our first iteration for songs with Russian lyrics.
If you believe that the contest has violations, you may fill in this report form
- Independent choice of any song with Russian lyrics!
- Duration of this event 1.5 months. 16.03.25 - Beginning. Mapping phase lasts until 16.04.2025 17:00 utc+0.
- The reward for the 1st place is 5 months of osu!er, a badge* (Pending) and progressing a map in the ranked section** (more info below), 2nd place - 2 months of osu!er, 3rd place - 1 months of osu!er

- It's preferred for participants to the discord server and fill a form, so we could follow the amount of participants and for participants to not be lost during the event, besides there you could follow the announcements regarding this event.
General rules:
- It's forbidden to collab with other mappers to make a map for the event. (Copying redlines is allowed)
- It's forbidden to use the maps that were already made as an entry.
- The map needs to be finished.
- Only one map.
- Map difficulty is Inner Oni (or higher).
- If the map is shown or submitted before the end of the event (screenshot/video/.osz/.osu etc.) the entry will be disqualified.
- While submitting your entry "CTBE" needs to be used as a Beatmap Creator.
- Storyboard and video are not allowed
Song choice rules:
- The song must not be in the Ranked section in taiko mode at the time of publishing this post
- The duration of the song should be more than 2 minutes (02:00)
- Mashups and AI covers are not allowed
- The song must have Russian lyrics
(In cases where you are in doubt whether a song is eligible for these rules, we can the hosts)

Event Process
16.03 is a start of the contest. You have to send your finished map until the 16.04 in Dicord PMs to me (lenkon). After that your map will get an unique code that will be sent to judges. 16.04 maps will be sent for judging and the results will be announced at 30.04
Judging Criteria
Categories are judged on 10 point scale. The final category score is calculated by the following formula: judge X's final score = (judge X's raw score - judge X's average raw score) / judge X's standard deviation
Quality - Describes how well your map is generally made by the main aspects such as structure, rhythm, SV and the other
Creativity - The use of unique solutions in mapping.
Playability - How well your map plays and provides readability while avoid technical issues
Judge Impression - How big of an impact your map provides to the judges.
Ranking Criteria - How suitable your map is to the osu!taiko Ranking Criteria. Also included in this criterion are items such as about correct timing, diff name, background and his positions.

Prizes
1st place - 1 months of osu!er (Equivalent of 4$) + 4 months of osu!er by Erowdi (Without the possibility of an alternative in the form of money), Badge* (Pending), Beatmap's progression to the ranked section**.
2nd place - 1 month of osu!er (Equivalent of 4$) + 1 month of osu!er by Nick9
3rd place - 1 month of osu!er by Nick9
You can request a reward in the form of receiving money on Steam Wallet by receiving items (usually cases from CS2) (We can't send money to you directly from Russia
). But that in this case there may be a commission of about 20%, a margin of error in the final value, and also to sell the item, you must have an activated Steam
*Badge - Under the condition that at least 10 entries will be submitted and the event is getting an official by the osu! tournament committee.
**Beatmap's progression to the ranked section - Only map from this event. Me and Ryxliee will become Beatmap Nominators for your map and have a standard ranking process.
