Saints row 1 and 2 (dropped? kinda?)
-----
I first played saints row 1, had to emulate it, the game crashed to me like 4 times. When I finally got it to run, it run really slow. This is all an emulator thing but it really annoyed me.
The game itself is an open world go commit genocide type of game, the main story is pretty ass, the voiceover sucks. It's just mainly a sandbox where you can just commit every crime known to mankind
after a while I decided that saints row 1 was just not worth it, the one that was requested was 2 anyways, so I skipped to that one
the game was drastically better. First of all, it didn't crash once, and everything just felt better, the main story was still pretty bad and kinda boring. So I just focused on running around and causing chaos, which I feel it's what the game wants you to do anyways
In fact, in order to advance the main story, you first need to go do random events in the open world, or else, you wont be able to play the main story. On itself I really dislike this mechanic, just let me do whatever, if I want to rush the main story let me, but in this case, it didn't matter too much as I didn't want to do it anyways
The side-events are fun, they're just excuses to break stuff and fight cops, however, after a a couple hours of just doing that sort of stuff it does get boring. So I decided to not really play the game too much more
so yeah, it's a good sandbox game, not so much a good story game. If I was stuck with this game it wouldn't be so bad tbh, I think as a game that you boot up from time to time just do try out some wack stuff it holds.
