I was pretty tired and closed my eyes in order to obtain a good night of sleep. At first it was a great night like all others, I could relax my whole body and just wait for the sleep to kick in. I managed to find sleep pretty easily that night, I really was tired.
However, at 1 AM, I heard a sound to woke me up. The sound was that of distant bell. "Who would be ringing bell at 1 am? we are not even at christmass yet." I tried to ignore the bell and get back to sleep. 10 minutes ed and I could still hear the bell. Then 20 minutes... Then 30 minutes... Then 40 minutes... I got tired of these damn bell, I stood up and went to my desk to grab some earplug. But once I got back up I suddenly had a thought. "Where the bell always this loud?" At first the bell sounded very distant but now I could clearly hear them. I thought more about it and I did notice that the bell were getting louder as time went on.
I tried to locate the source of this sound to see what was making it. However, the sound seemed like it was coming from more than one direction and was impossible to locate. Plus, there was a snowstorm outside so seeing anything was impossible. I put on the earplug and went to bed, trying to get a good night of sleep despite these troublesome bell. To my surprise, the earplug didn't change the sound at all. I could still hear the bell as clearly as I could before putting them on.
"This is strange. Since I can't sleep with these damn bell in my ear I guess i'll just waste away some time on the internet until whoever is ringing these bell decides to stop." I went to my computer, opened it and put on my headphone. As I thought, if the earplug could't block the sound neither could my headphone. I decided to put on some loud music to try to escape the sound that I'd been earing for over an hour now. Even more surprising than anything that I had experienced so far, even with the volume put to the maximum I could still hear the bell as clearly as before.
I tried to look on the internet for reason as to why I kept hearing these bell, everything about them sounded unnatural and it should be impossible for the sound to through my headphone, espcially while they are playing loud music. Of course I could find nothing, how do I even look this up?
I decided to go outside, despite it being 2:30 AM and there being a strong snowstorm outside. I put one some thick clothes as well as my heavy winter cloak and went outside. I could really not se anything, if I didn't put on ski glasses I would not even be able to open my eyes, I could even see many big tree benting over dangerously under the pressure of the wind. I tried to locate the sound. Under normal circumstances it would be impossible considering how loud the snowstorm is but even that could not stop the bell from ringing, even louder than before. I walked, and walked, and walked the sound was not getting louder. It kept increasing at the normal rate it had been increasing so far but when I tried to walk towards it it didn't get louder. I decided to get back to my house, I had already gone out pretty far and anyway I could easily see it was pointless to try to find the source in these condition. It was frustrating because the sound now sounded closer than ever, it sounds as though it is only a few meter aways from me. "Maybe I'll be able to see it from to comfort of my house."
As I went on my way back home, I started to hear very low song. I tried to hear it but the sound of the bell was covering for it. But the song was getting louder too and I could finally recognize the song and ed something that I had done the night before.
I had made a mistake, and now it was coming for me. I started to panic, I wanted to run to my house as quickly as I could but the snowstorm made it impossible. My heart was beating at an incredible pace, my body was sweating enormous amount and my senses were sharpened by the iminent danger awaiting me. I finally saw them through the heavy snowstorm.
