yet another incredibly dumb design decision on the long list of them if you ask me
it's only going to lead to more threads being created about the same thing if someone's question thread gets no replies long enough that it falls off the page 1 of, let's say GNR. Instead of bumping it just gets remade. How is that better? So what's going to happen, it's okay to have multiple threads - by the same person - about the same question, or will mods just be locking them and linking them to a thread that they can't even bump. Or even dumber, will mods just say "well clearly your question doesn't matter if it fell off page 1 before being answered that was your only chance sorry"
