To be fair, the Taiko no Tatsujin series is primarily for arcade, and while it'd be nice for arcade games to simply or upgrade themselves, it doesn't work that way in the land of the rising sun (though it should). When TnT starts putting out FIVE(!) separate games on console in a year, I'd start complaining (lol not really).

On that note, I really wish Namco-Bandai would release Taiko no Tatsujin Wii 2 and at least give the option of buying the game and the drum separately. It's absurdly expensive to go and import TnT Wii!

Regarding the background change, I believe it to be a bug... but peppy didn't give me a clear answer when I asked him:

"Rokodo [RL]: What happened to the taiko bgs?
peppy: I don't know." -is basically what I got.

I believe he's trying to convert taiko for full widescreen compatibility. Just watch this space, I guess.

Also, to Rokodo, a chipped Wii is much better and safer than a softmodded one. You don't have to worry about updates bricking the Wii and whatnot. And you get region free right out of the box, and the ability to by Wii updates. For softmods, the Disc Channel no longer works if you update to 4.0U and up.

And about the tatacon....My 3rd party one sucks. No one makes 'em better than Namco

The difference is, the guitar controller is compulsory for Guitar Hero, but this isn't the case for Taiko. Since the drum accessories are so expensive and still break easily(for heavy Oni players), might as well stick to buttons, unless you play the arcade.

EDIT: Finished mapping Ryougen no Mai, secret song unlocked by the fifth code of Taiko 12.5. Considered harder than Rotter Tarmination Inner Oni by some people. A must try~!

In of first time playing this is hell a lot more easier than Rotter. But if you've pseudo-memorized both songs then this is agreeably harder... I guess?

I just can't play properly on osu!Taiko :\ if only the scrollbar is as long as it should be I could probably this easier (and that the scoring system is also authentic), since tbh I'm comparing this to be just like a combo of K.Sai and *insert anti-Zekira stream song here*

IMO Rotter is harder, but wikihouse put this song above it, and so many comments everywhere about this suring Rotter's difficulty, who knows.
