How about just "Post your Artwork"theowest wrote: tpu
How about "Post your original Artwork" as a title for this topic? Someone changed it to "Post Your Original Stuff" which doesn't look as good imo. What do you guys think?
Amazing work so far to everyone posting their stuff.
EDIT: Well to give my post a bit more of a purpose, here's a draft of my next pic I'm working on. Inking/making lineart is so tedious =w=Teach me how to sketch neatly like that, please...
Izayoi the overpowered MC from Mondaiji ^. Still no idea why I'm drawing Mondaiji and not something objectively better like JoJo
Thanks to Porsche and DarkScienceLord for going through the original sketches for any mistakes
Use an HB pencil for guidelines, then a stronger pencil such as a 2B for the actual drawing. Try to use the least amount of strokes possible for your lines so you can keep it clean and simple. Usually when you're using too many strokes for a particular shape it means that you're not sure how to draw it. This happens with eyes, hands, and ears; things that are usually fun but hard to draw. And yeah, it'll probably take several strokes until you figure out what's the shape you want, but make sure to erase them and settle on one, not three or a whole mess of them.asakuraShinji wrote: 5fk6u

Well, here's my newest piece. I'm too lazy to draw a background, ahahah....
This is exactly my problem. I still tend to use many strokes to form a line... Looks like I have to take a break from digital and back to practicing with pencil and paper for a bit. Haha.Brian OA wrote: 3a1e1z

Yea, I needed to remake a picture in my own style for art class so and add a part of a song to it.Sakura wrote: 1q3420

You bean, this isn't bad. But your skills are far too rough, just like your lines! Minimalize the number of strokes it takes you to draw something; from simple shapes such as squares to complex ones such as facial features or clothes. If you have trouble getting the proper shape and have to make several strokes just to see what seems best, make sure you make them soft so you can erase them later and finish it off with a minimal amount of strokes.SSShaymin wrote: 163fx
Drew this some time ago. September, I think. Drawn with pencil, then scanned into my laptop, which explains the smudges of lead and sketching.
You nigger, you know how much that creeps me out. I mean, he looks like he came from a Lord of the Rings movie or something; stop messing around with Archer already!Aeidxst wrote: 2k4nc

They say that if we lived closer (like, real goddamn close) to the galactic center, the sky would look much like this, due to the massive amount of stars giving us light. We'd be in perpetual daylight.Static Noise Bird wrote: 604i6k
Thanks for the tips! I'll try to apply them for the line art.Brian OA wrote: 3a1e1z
The lines looks messy
Proportions, limbs (arms, legs) are composed of two main parts, ed by a knee or elbow. In any case these parts should be equal in length to each other. Typically half of an arm's length equals a head, though that only applies to grown men/women. In teenagers and children it's somewhat shorter, and in lolis/chibis it's dramatically shorter than that. Anyway in your pic Shizuru's (I think that's her, I haven't played either galge) forearm is too long. Since it's necessary that she keep her hand on that patch, just have her raised at a higher angle, while shortening the forearm.
Azusa is fine, although the top of her head is too... High.
Keep drawing pls
Oh my....that's so cute.Z666ful wrote: p5bb
finished, my first attempt using SAI.
