Hello! Thanks for listening in on today! I would like to represent the Anti-Lock Commitee!
What is this committee's goal?
In 2017, Off-Topic has been a very well, questionable place. Recently, there has been a numerous amount of wonderful threads being locked by Flanster. For example, This thread right here. I was heart broken when I heard my best, most popular thread has been locked. I wanted it to go on for a very long time, a very, very long time. However, Flanster ruined it for me, and for others. He is also known for spam locking threads, disgusting! This committee's goal is to let some leniency on the threads that are posted here.


This committee wants to enforce the following rules:

Future Rules:

1. A thread cannot be locked if it is not sexually explict, racist, sexist, etc...
2. A thread cannot be locked if the conversation going on in replies is not sexually explict, racist, sexist, etc.... Only the posts will be removed and the thread will stay unlocked.
3. A thread can only be locked if it meets these conditions:
   -It does not start a suitable conversation within 1 hour of being posted.
   -It is sexually explict, racist, sexist, or misleading and spam content.
4. A GMT Must put more effort into locking a thread, and give a valid reason as to why the thread has been locked. (Unless very obvious)
5. The GMT locking the thread will also be open to unlocking the thread if the creator of the thread plus one other person request for it to be unlocked.

We also suggest there to be a GMT unlock request thread, where you can request to get your thread unlocked.

I do not appreciate this behavior, our committee has a very clear and simple goal in mind, and we need help to make it a reality.

Your are now an official member of the ALC. Please make sure to follow our rules to make sure you are not kicked from the committee!

1. No promoting locks, this means no posting "lock this" or "kill this thread" unless it is for a valid reason.
2. Stay active, if you fail to be active within the OT community (posting less than once a week) I will remove you from the committee, and leaving you with a 1 month cooldown before being able to reapply.
3. Do not show aggresive behaviour to staff or others. If you are aggresive/offensive in any way, you will be immediately kicked from the commitee with zero chances to reapply.

What kind of things will our committee do as a group?

Our committee is to hope for a brighter future in OT, I will organize campaigns to fight against Flanster, and other GMT's disruptive locking.

Request to petition ot!parliament to re-assess the rules and regulations regarding locking a thread with intentions of providing a lock policy that is more democratic and representative of OT!Denizens morals.

I am bumping this thread to re-open this discussion, that is incredibly urgent considering this uptake in locks made by abraker.

I also had a dream abraker wasn’t a gmt anymore because he ditched his ways to marry Keramaru, but that’s besides the point.
