I believe the spacing here is appropiate. I think it's the mapper's intention to reflect the synth thing so a 0.1x ds increase and make it linear is a good way to differentiate it from the other common 5s bursts<\/span><\/li>03:54:328 (1,2) \u2013 This can be used to emphasize the drums, it\u2019s good, but 03:54:654 (1,2) \u2013feels bad, because the music turned to weakness, and the 03:54:654 - 03:54:736 - 03:54:817 - 03:54:899 \u2013are of the same strength. http:\/\/puu.sh\/i6JoW\/e6b25f71e7.jpg<\/a>It's just as weak as the stream before it, then, because it's not actually mapping to the drum beat. About this, I agree with Fycho. 03:54:328 (1,2,1,2,1) - This is constant 1\/4 sound to follow the synths, but players single tap like 1\/2, maybe it's not your intention, but the previous stream sets up an emphasization on the strong beats on 03:54:328 - , 03:54:491 - and 03:54:654 - with single tapping, so it makes it feel weird to also single tap on 03:54:817 - which has no strong beat. I believe that making 03:54:654 (1,2,1) - into a single stream fits better, because i feel like the tap on a stream start emphasize strong beat on 03:54:654 - , and then continue streaming feels more \"continuous\" like a 1\/1 slider to reflect 1\/1 gap between the strong beats. As we do not think that you did not know what you were doing or that your patterns are not well designed, we think that you partially ignored that this song is actually a mixture out of returning music samples, that reoccure again and again. However, you did not ignore that everywhere! We want to have beatmaps with a conceptional regonizeable pattern design that returns to a degree in slight variations at returning music sequences.Here is a positive and a negative example:00:31:502 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - vs 00:36:719 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - This is how a concept works. (1,2) is stacked (2,3) is spaced, (3,4) is stacked, (5,6,7,8) have a similiar way of extending jumps or running patterns. Variation 1 appears on 00:31:502 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - and another variation appears on 00:36:719 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) -. They are not the same, but they are recognizeable and placed on the same music sequence.<\/li>01:15:850 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - vs 01:38:187 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15) - We might want to argue here that the synthesizer is not playing the exact same melody, but let's be real here: the instrument behaves comparable. Anyways, you decided to put kickslider on the one and a normal stream on the other. This is contradictive. This is a recognizeable and returning music sample that happens across the entire song. And because you did not decide for which option you want to go, this appears to be a lack of an actual concept.<\/li><\/ol>You want to make your usage of patterns more consistent. Once you put triangles on the melody, then sliders, then zig-zags, then you put slider streams on the melody, then on the vocals, then on the drums. I mean, you want to decide for one option. Or for one big overall concept. Your patterns itself might appear fine (not every, read the next point), but creativity doesn't mean to put everything you can figure into one beatmap. Make a nice selection of your most superb patterns that fit the song and put them together, decide for something and do not try too hard to put as much different stuff as possible. Rather try to figure a way to make \"the same stuff differently\", variate the patterns you used, modify them - be creative in a conceptional way!<\/li>We want to see 02:45:850 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - changed. This is one of the patterns that really didn't work out well and really peaked out of the individual pattern designs which were overall polished, yet to be composed better (read above) Pay attention to the flow, try to not break it too often, use flow breaks sparingly. And do not place a kick-slider like that out of nowhere.<\/li>Concurring to the original disqualification, we want to raise our concerns on captin's Extra, too. While the Extra has a connection to the music, we miss the connection to the music on this difficulty quite a lot. The extended sliders, that forces you to alternate, because why not; kicksliders because why not; triplets because why not. We are not saying that the map plays bad or is poorly mapped. It just does not listen to the music. Whereas the Extra has a multitude of concepts that were not composed together fluently, this one appears to have no real concept and is more of a compilation of difficult patterns for the sake of it. We believe that the Extra, if polished as we mentioned, would suffice for this mapset. Hence captin's Extra is a version that is more mapped for difficulty than correlation to the music. We miss how you did not follow the song more than just in a basic way, without attempting to represent the music in the best way possible. This can not be ranked and therefore we can not let it .<\/li><\/ol>Anyways we want to say that the Easy, Normal and Hard are fine. The jump from Hard to Insane is quite large and a bit borderline, but whatever. P A N's Extra is a well made beatmap and turns out to look nice.
