If a pattern is suddenly changed with a specific rhythm, it may be penalized. If there is a change in a same sounding rhythm but is intensified, it may be rewarded.Relevance: Use of patterns focused on specific rhythms. Take this as in "What will bring this map to life?" Make the patterns have their own "feel" to your song choice. Do you need tempo changes, different snap divisors? Hopefully that has been looked at. Difficulty: Does your map, with its patterns and song choice, make sense with the difficulty? A balanced map would be most rewarded for points in this section. Not too easy, nor too hard. Also, if your map is over 6*, you will be penalized for it. This is a general ruling, so it will cost you.Technicality: Use of engaging patterns that require technical skill. I may remove this as it contradicts with other categories. This will be heavy on my likes.Ashton/Laxxer:The song choice is nice, though won't be judged based off my liking. The song is at a slower bpm, creating diverse opportunities for patterns. Timing points have been adjusted throughout the song to comply with slider changes in recognition of the rhythm. The patterns themselves are rather "chill," which is great for the song choice. I'd say that it's a pretty consistent map throughout its duration, and it even has a part where more technical skill is required, with a variety of single notes and sliders together. This map is pretty enjoyable!Variety: 15/20Usage of multiple patterns was nice. Good job.Consistency: 20/20I did not see any part that flawed in consistency. Every pattern corresponding to a rhythm did have any noticeable change, and some patterns only improved as the song started to intensify.Relevance: 17/20Sliders and the small jumps were a nice representation.Difficulty: 20/20This totally makes sense for its difficulty.Technicality: 10/20Although engaging at some point, I'd still like to see more difficulty.Overall: 82/100

Corne2Dog3Engaging, exciting song choice. This opens the floodgates for an intense map, or for the average bursty farm map. This song is of a longer duration, which may allow more opportunities for mappers to explore, dependent of the song. This is a fun pick, but does have a farm aspect to it. It can be very easy to execute some patterns, especially the bursts. The jumps themselves are also engaging, and I think they would be in the middle ground of farm/non-farm.Variety: 18/20Add a tech aspect to it! Would be very fun to experience.Consistency: 20/20Gud map.Relevance: 20/20Patterns suit really well with the rhythms in the song. Intensified parts were swell executed.Difficulty: 17/20Farmy ! But is still hard, no shit.Technicality: 18/20Enjoyable map, it's something I would definitely play. Though it could have more of a difficult aspect to it.Overall: 93/100

WitherSkeletonWell, well, well. This map is engaging! I also love the song choice, but again, that isn't taken into judgement. Anyhow, this map features intense finger control. Not only do you need finger control for bursts, but general patterns for sliders and single notes in awkward/tight positions. The speed compliments these patterns to execute well. There are a few seconds, often with kiai mode on, where there are sliders replaced with what could of been deadly streams. However, these sliders were also challenging for general timing and speed. Very nice.Variety: 20/20Very good use of multiple patterns in multiple parts of the song. Good job.Consistency: 18/20There is some parts, earlier in the song, where it felt odd to play. Can't determine if it's timing or if the patterns themselves did not feel great to play corresponding to the rhythm. Relevance: 20/20Patterns and song were made for each other.Difficulty: 20/20Need to see more ranked maps with this difficulty.Technically: 20/20Very technical.Overall: 98/100wow, how high !

JustAIcedCubeWell. This was an interesting approach to the song, but it is consistent, that I can say about it. I kept switching from "boring" to "oh, nice" throughout the map. Although its consistency is there, the engagement was sort of a mixed bag, so to speak. Not entirely sure how I feel about this map.Variety: 12/20More could of been done.Consistency: 20/20No other comment.Relevance: 17/20Some moments it did feel great, but in other moments, no.Difficulty: 18/20I'd say it makes sense for this map to be where it's at. Technicality: 17/20Timing is hard, but not else can be said. With the lack of variety, this doesn't help much.Overall: 84/100

Jeez.. All these ratings are high. I may revaluate. For now, I'll keep it as is. Will confirm if there is any changes or not.

Yoisaki Kanade wrote:
Wasn't able to finish but figured I might as well post itbeatmapsets/2287260#osu/4880032
Will wait for confirmation from the host.

WitherMite

1,609 posts

ed August 2019

WitherMite

2024-11-30T17:38:32+00:00

Diary of a Wimpy Kid wrote:
There is some parts, earlier in the song, where it felt odd to play.
